Airline: Passenger removed after physical altercation on Miami flight to Chicago

Per a report by NBC News, a man was tasered and arrested Sunday night aboard an American Airlines plane in Miami after being accused of inappropriately touching another passenger.

Mr Ennis added: 'Myself and others on the plane started complaining to the flight attendant that this was not tolerable.

The plane was still at the gate when crew members tried to get Garcia to get off.

The airline said the passenger was asked to leave but he refused.

"You just assaulted a lady for one", another passenger said in one of the videos. Garcia began fighting with the couple, and officers hurried aboard. Throughout the ordeal, Garcia struggles with the officers despite one's warning "don't fight me", resulting in the use of the taser. They then chose to remove him and called the police'.

A second video shared on Twitter by traveler Kaitlin Waters shows Garcia continuing to be combative with officers as they escort him from the terminal.

An officer then reaches for his Taser from his belt. The crowd cheers when they drove him away'.

Garcia tells him: 'Go on Taser me, and you'll see what happens'. During that process, a physical altercation between the same two passengers took place. "Due to Mr. Garcia's actions and the close quarters of the engagement, Officer Desroches was unable to holster his ECW, which caused the number of cycles".

Flight 2446 to Chicago's O'Hare airport, scheduled to leave at 9:30 p.m., was delayed about an hour. According to the Miami-Dade Police Department's arrest report, Garcia was moved to a different seat after the first incident, but "began to scream and insult" the woman and her boyfriend and became involved in an altercation with another passenger.

By that time, Miami-Dade police were called. We thank our crews and airport customer service team for their excellent work in this situation'.

Jail records showed Garcia was in custody Monday morning at a Miami-Dade County facility, facing charges of battery, depriving an officer of a weapon, disorderly conduct, resisting an officer and criminal mischief.
