Apple unveils new privacy feature

Apple released iOS 11.3, the latest version of its mobile operating system today, March 29. After the discovery of Apple's secret performance throttling, the company had promised to give back control of their iPhone's life to its users.

Apple received a firestorm of criticism in December after admitting that the company did indeed slow down aging batteries to prevent iPhones from unexpectedly shutting down.

The software will also introduce four new Animoji: a lion, bear, dragon and skull.

Users will see a message explaining the icon. The view of the real world through the camera now has 50 percent greater resolution and supports auto-focus for an even sharper perspective.

For the enterprise, one of the key features is Business Chat, which allows businesses to directly communicate with users in the Messages app, an Apple press release said.

Business Chat does not share your contact information with the businesses. It makes money by selling hardware, while internet companies like Facebook and Google rely on detailed user data for their advertising businesses.

Apart from this, the iPhone maker has also introduced a Health Records section inside the Health app, giving patients quick access to their medical records from supported doctors and care centers directly on their device. First is a new Health Records feature in the Health app.

Apple users will also be able to correct personal information that is inaccurate, temporarily deactivate their account or delete their account altogether.

What it doesn't include are the reams of content within apps like iMessage, Apple Pay, Siri, Maps or Photos Search because Apple doesn't collect that type of user data.

To do this, just go to Settings Battery on an iPhone 6 or later. If so, you'll see an option to turn it off. Keep in mind that this feature would only kick in if your device unexpectedly crashed on a handset with a weakened battery.

The update also makes the performance management feature that curtails power usage visible, but only after an unexpected shutdown occurs - it's initially disabled when the update is installed - and only on the older iPhone models affected (iPhone 6, 7, and SE).

Apple Music has been updated with a feature that puts all of its music videos and music-related content into one place. The main improvement is support for streaming audio to multiple devices simultaneously, such as HomePods and Apple TVs, as well as incorporating AirPlay 2-supporting speakers into HomeKit.
