"Uttar Pradesh is blessed with all the riches, it can become the growth engine of the country", PM Modi said inaugurating the two-day "UP Investors Summit".

"Nearly 17 per cent of the total population of the country lives in Uttar Pradesh.the development story of the country can not be written without the state", Adani said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at the Uttar Pradesh Investors' summit at IGP in Lucknow on Wednesday.

Mukul Singhal, Principal Secretary, Textiles, Uttar Pradesh government, talked about the key points of the state's new handloom policy in his address.

"Hawai chappal pehne wala bhi, hawa mein udna chahiye, " PM Modi said.

The Prime Minister also said worldwide airports will come up in Jewar and Kushinagar.

He said the Union Government's schemes such as Skill India Mission, Stand Up India, Start Up India and Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, will prove useful in implementing the "One District, One Product" scheme. "This gives the state unique proposition to reap maximum demographic dividend", Singh said. Extend welcome to the Prime Minister.

Modi announced a defence industrial corridor in Bundelkhand. He also made the announcement to open an IT centre in Varanasi. The Prime Minister highlighted the vibrancy and eye to detail of the Industrial policy introduced by the BJP government in the state.

"Tourism is a multiplier for growth". Aditya Birla group will invest about Rs25,000 crore in the state across sectors over the next five years, he said.

Adityanath announced that the state has signed 1,045 pacts worth Rs 4.28 lakh crore on the first day of the summit.

Reliance Jio Wednesday said it will supply two crore JioPhones to the state of Uttar Pradesh in next two months.

Reliance Industries Ltd chief Mukesh Ambani said the Prime Minister's dream was to make UP "Sarvottam Pradesh".

More than 200 industrialists and businessmen, including Mukesh Ambani, Gautam Adani, Subhash Chandra, Kumar Mangalam Birla and M Chandrashekharan, are participating in the summit.

"Jio has invested Rs 20,000 crore already in the state, and plans to invest another Rs 10,000 crore over the next three years".

The size of state gives enormous opportunities to investors to expand their business and invest in UP.
