South Carolina's unemployment rate 4 percent in November

The Hawaiʻi State Department of Labor & Industrial Relations announced that the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for November was 2%.

The Labor Department's report on state unemployment released Friday showed rates fell in 19 other states, a positive sign for USA economic growth. Calaveras County's rate fell from 4.2-percent to 3.8 percent in November.

Texas employers added 54,500 workers to their payrolls in November, bringing the statewide unemployment rate to the lowest level in four decades, the Texas Workforce Commission said Friday.

The Texas jobless rate has improved for the seventh month in a row with Number unemployment dropping to a record low of 3.8%.

Unemployment rates have dropped to record lows in five states, including the "yellow hammer" state of Alabama.

SC added almost 8,000 jobs in last month.

The leisure and hospitality segment lost about 1,700 jobs in November, compared with October. Job totals have also essentially been unchanged in 23 other states. These states also led in monthly job gains. California was second with 288,300. Annual employment growth for Texas increased to 2.7 percent in November, marking 91 consecutive months of annual growth. In total, 17 states have unemployment rates below the national average.

The Amarillo and Midland area came in with the state's lowest non seasonally adjusted unemployment rate, at 2.6 percent, while the McAllen- Edinburg-Mission area had the highest of 5.6 percent.
