Storms bring rain, then snow to Central New York this weekend

Clouds and warmer temperatures are forecast for Tuesday. Be ready for pockets of dense fog for the morning commute with sunrise temperatures right around 50° to the lower 50s for the Red Stick.

Cold air blowing in that night could create some widespread snow, with more lake effect snow near Lake Erie and Lake Ontario. The low will be around 29 with a north wind of 8 to 10 miles per hour. There will be a north northwest wind of 3 to 5 miles per hour. Highs will be in the low to mid-20s and overnight lows of about 10.
