Google Home Max now on sale for $399

It features dual 0.7-inch tweeters in addition to two 4.5-inch woofers, all housed within a rigid chassis to "keep the audio composed". A listing in late November suggested that the Home Max would be released on December 11, and that appears to have been quite accurate.

Google is now offering a range of smart speakers. Verizon has the Home Max available in chalk, but charcoal is now sold out. Apple had originally planned to ship the HomePod this month as well, which mean that it would have directly competed with the Google Home Max during the busiest shopping season of the year.

Home Max, a larger and higher-end version of Google Home, is available for $399 through the Google Play Store, Best Buy, Walmart, and Verizon. Even if you move Max from one spot to another, it'll continuously tune itself to the room, so your music will sound one step closer to the studio.

Smart home gadgets like thermostats, switches, and lightbulbs have brought drastic changes to how we interact with our home. Plus, Google Home Max can complete two tasks at once. The Smart Sound feature will automatically scan the room to offer up the best possible sound based on the area it is placed, and it supports streaming music from platforms like YouTube Music, Spotify, and Pandora. Other connectivity options include Bluetooth and a 3.5 mm audio jack. You can even connect your other devices including the smartphone to play your music and videos. But given the price of rival smart home speakers, it's actually competitively priced. Google Home Max is a new member in the smart speakers lineup of Google with last year's Google Home and this year's Google Home Mini speakers.
