"House of Cards" final season shooting to resume without Spacey

Last month, Netflix stopped production of House of Cards' sixth season and severed its relationship with Spacey after several people - including Star Trek: Discovery actor Anthony Rapp - accused the Oscar victor of sexual misconduct.

Discovery actor alleged the Oscar victor had pinned him to a bed in his apartment when Rapp was just 14.

The decision, now made official, had been rumored for some time Star Trek: Discovery actor Anthony Rapp went public with allegations of unwanted sexual assault from Spacey on October 29.

The show had just started filming of season six when the allegations first surfaced, but Netflix made a decision to shutdown the set.

Ted Sarandos has confirmed House of Cards final season will be eight episodes and be led by Wright.

"I've been very surprised by it all", Rapp, 46, told Entertainment Tonight at One Night With the Stars charity concert for women and children battling cancer on Monday, December 4. It was Anthony Rapp who first threw allegations at Kevin Spacey about his misconduct. Or even more frightening are the people saying they had "heard" things but weren't in the room and were afraid to come forward.

Following Rapp's allegation, Spacey said in a post on Twitter he does not remember the alleged incident, but that "if I did behave then as he describes, I owe him the sincerest apology for what would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behaviour". Spacey will no longer be involved with the project after Netflix cut ties with the actor and producer.

"I'm very gratified to learn that the many folks who've been in limbo this past month will in fact have the chance to complete their work that had been interrupted".
