Requests for comment made to Victoria's Secret, Cardi B and Kloss were not returned by publication time. Just like in previous years, the models are encouraged to post pictures and video of themselves getting ready to promote the show.

The clip was posted to Twitter and has since caused a stir online.

Some of the models can be seen singing the lyrics: "Hit the store, I can get 'em both, I don't wanna choose, and I'm quick, cut a n***a off, so don't get comfortable".

While there's nothing the offending Angels can say to undo their actions, it's important that the white women in the room who did say the n-word are held accountable for their actions.

People were upset with the group, especially - as writer Mikelle Street pointed out - none of the women featured in the video were black.

Cardi B, Bronx-born rapper and reality TV star, slammed the United Nations (UN), calling the thriving slave trade situation in Libya "shameful and disgusting" as the country "hasn't had a president or any type of government running them for kind of a long time right now", she explained in a video. "Point. Blank. Period", another person tweeted, responding to the video.

Models Lily Aldridge, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Adriana Lima walk the runway during the 2017 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show In Shanghai at Mercedes-Benz Arena on November 20, 2017 in Shanghai, China.

Katy Perry was originally granted a visa to perform at the event, but that was soon revoked.

However, an unedited version has since surfaced and been roundly criticised on social media.
