Fifth woman accuses Senator Al Franken of sexual misconduct

Three other women allege Franken grabbed their buttocks while posing with them for photos during separate campaign events in 2007, 2008 and 2010.

Stephanie Kemplin, 41, of Maineville, Ohio, told CNN in report Thursday that Franken had cupped her right breast when she stood next to him for a photo in December 2003.

The woman, identified as army veteran Stephanie Kemplin, told the network that Franken - then a comedian and entertainer - groped her breast while they posed for a photo during a tour of the Middle East to entertain U.S. troops in 2003. "He kept his hand all the way over on my breast", Kemplin said in an interview. "It was long enough that he should have known if it was an accident", she said. "I put her in various positions and take pictures of her'".

Jezebel was able to confirm that the woman appeared on Franken's show and talked to two people, including the woman's sister, who said they were told about the incident nearly immediately.

Kemplin said she was shocked and embarrassed by the incident and did not confront Franken, but she did tell her sister and an ex-boyfriend at the time, both of whom confirmed the allegations to CNN. "Was he going to move his hand?' He never moved his hand". She was a military police officer and 27 at the time.

To say I was sorry for writing a joke was to sell out my career, to sell out who I'd been my entire life.

The woman said she wanted to remain anonymous to keep her name "associated with [her] own accomplishments", according to Jezebel. "He never moved his hand".

A friend of the woman told us that she, too, was told about the incident shortly after it took place.

The woman says she was in disbelief.

Franken's response: A spokesperson for Franken said in a statement: "As Sen. He remains fully committed to cooperating with the ethics investigation".

As Sen. Franken made clear this week, he takes thousands of photos and has met tens of thousands of people and he has never intentionally engaged in this kind of conduct.

"I was stunned and incredulous".
