Met Police investigating second claim of sexual assault against Kevin Spacey

London's authorities have launched a second investigation into additional sexual assault allegations made against Kevin Spacey.

"Officers from the Child Abuse and Sexual Offences Command are investigating", Scotland Yard told The Hollywood Reporter.

The claim was made on Friday and alleges an assault took place on a man in Lambeth in 2005.

Last Vic, Old Vic Theater reported that it has received 20 personal testimonies against Kevin Spacey for "misconduct".

Spacey was the artistic director of The Old Vic from 2004 to 2015. "The allegations are of sexual assaults against a man (Victim 2) in 2005 in Lambeth".

"On Wednesday, November 1, City of London Police referred an allegation of sexual assault to the Metropolitan Police Service", they said.

Star Trek: Discovery actor Anthony Rapp was the first to come forward with allegations against Spacey, saying the older actor tried to "seduce" him when he was 14.

The Met were already investigating an allegation of assault regarding Spacey against a different man in the same area in 2008.

"It seems that it only took a male under 30 to make Mr Spacey feel free to touch us". The Old Vic said a "cult of personality" around Spacey had discouraged people from speaking out. The alleged victim is believed to have been an aspiring actor who sought career advice from Spacey.

There were many other allegations made after Rapp's story became public.

The scandal has cost the embattled actor his role as controversial politician Frank Underwood on Netflix show House of Cards, and he has been edited out of Ridley Scott's new movie All the Money in the World.

Only one of the alleged victims reported the incidents at the time.

The BBC has contacted Spacey's legal representatives for comment.
