OnePlus 5T Appears On Geekbench, Confirms Snapdragon 835 Processor And 8GB RAM

The upcoming high-end smartphone boasts support for all conventional communications standards and is also compatible with Galileo and BeiDou satellite navigation systems.

Yesterday we saw some OnePlus 5T unboxing images appear online and at the time we wished they were a video.

Apart from this, the OnePlus 5T smartphone would feature a Fingerprint Sensor at the back panel of the device. The other difference you will see is on the frontside with its larger display with minimal bezels. Interestingly, the video also reveals the face unlock feature during the first boot of the OnePlus 5T. As you'd expect all the things are similar to what we have seen in the leaked images yesterday.

As per the new leaks, the phone will come with 6.01-inch AMOLED display with 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution. The primary sensor has a pixel size of 1.12µm, with the secondary module being of the 1.0µm variety, and a dual-LED flash also being part of the equation. The front will house a 16MP f2.0 selfie camera. Coming to the specs, the 5T will have the Snapdragon 835 SoC, 6GB/8GB of RAM, 64GB/128GB storage, Adreno 540 GPU inside. One with 6GB RAM and 64GB Internal Storage and the second with 8GB RAM and 128GB of Internal Storage capacity.

OnePlus 5T is set to be unveiled on November 16 in Brooklyn, New York. A release in India is happening on November 28th, and China will get the OnePlus 5T on December 1st.

OnePlus CEO, Pete Lau, has hinted that despite the rising cost of materials, OnePlus fans will appreciate the OnePlus 5T's pricing. We have embedded the video below, but just in case it is taken down by the publisher (or OnePlus) we have a few screenshots to show you how the new device compares to the old one.

OnePlus 5 is likely to be a slightly better than the existing OnePlus 5, which was launched in June this year. However these specs are nothing short from similar with the OnePlus 5.

On the software front, the OnePlus 5T will unfortunately run on Android 7.1.1-based OxygenOS out of the box and will get the Oreo update in the future. Sensors on the OnePlus 5T include: Fingerprint, Hall, Accelerometer, G-sensor, Electronic Compass, Gyroscope, Proximity, Ambient Light Sensor, RGB, and Sensor Hub.
