Opens New Home & Accessories Floor and Blue Box Cafe at Its Fifth

"The setting is as inviting as the food is inspiring, serving customers who have always dreamed of having Breakfast at Tiffany's", the company said in a press release, referencing the film. As of tomorrow, Tiffany & Co's flagship store (on Fifth Avenue, New York, no less) is opening a café.

Its jewelry selection has made it a top shopping destination, but starting Friday, November 10, there will be another reason to visit the retailer: an all-day, Tiffany Blue café.

Speaking of luxury, your morning joe at Tiffany's will cost you far more than Holly Golightly's street-cart fare. The restaurant is decked out with decor in the chain's signature robin's egg blue, accented with silver and white.

The cafe is the company's first leap into the retail dining concept, and it will also house their new luxury Home & Accessories collection.

The Blue Box Cafe is Tiffany's first restaurant, timed to the release of the brand's line of "everyday objects", including a $350 gold vermeil insane straw and a $1,500 sterling-silver "coffee can". That fantasy can now come a reality, as a new restaurant has opened at the flagship NY store. Some include an array of actual Tiffany boxes adorned now with chrome figurines and diamonds or pieces of the homeware. Breakfast is prix fixe set at $29 per person and lunch is $39.

If a fully fledged tea is more your thing, join your friends for a selection of finger sandwiches and candies accompanied by an array of Bellocq teas for $49 per person.

Shoppers on Fifth Avenue can now order breakfast at Tiffany's, 56 years after the movie title popularised the famous New York City jewellery store. "I want to sit there and feel like Holly Golightly, finding love, enjoying my life and enjoying NY".
