Some Xbox One X consoles becoming unresponsive

Which means that if you haven't had any issues with your Standard Xbox One X for the past couple of hours, your console is probably fine.

Microsoft's Xbox One X was released into the wild just yesterday, but already some users are reporting that their consoles have died after just a few hours of use. Over 100 games, including Forza Motorsport 7, Assassin's Creed Origins, and Middle-earth: Shadow of War have released (or will release within the week) Xbox One X Enhanced updates to support the new 4k resolution. If they ordered a massive number of the Xbox One X and went through all of them, then hats off to everyone involved for filling a 4K gap that gamers bought up immediately. As with any new hardware, there will be failures, so it's impossible to know the rate of consoles bricking after just two days.

As mentioned, GameStop's Xbox One X stock is not completely sold through. If you weren't able to make it out to your local retailer or Microsoft Store, the company also made sure that you could check out all of the festivities through its live stream. But it looks like that'll change in future years, as Microsoft's Phil Spencer has confirmed the consolemaker plans to ramp up game production by acquiring or adding several new first-party developers to its Microsoft Studios stable.
