Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Expansion Pass, Day One Japanese Voice Pack Announced

Probably not, unless that silly Nintendo Switch T-shirt you get for buying Breath of the Wild's season pass is supposed to be canon, too.

Finally, the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 expansion pass add-ons will begin rolling out in December 2017.

During the latest Direct conference, Nintendo announced that Breath of the Wild owners would be able to play a free Xenoblade Chronicles 2 side quest from November 9.

Earlier today Nintendo had a special Direct video featuring Xenoblade Chronicles 2. While adventuring, these abilities might increase the number of items that can be collected, open up new paths to explore or initiate other special effects.

A big news item involves the season pass (or "expansion pass") for the game, which will go for $29.99 and provide players with DLC that will launch between the December launch of the game and the fall of 2018.

While the first Xenoblade Chronicles featured a primarily British voice cast that's become highly quotable in its own right, the availability of the original Japanese take on the characters and their story was a welcome addition. Selecting different Blades will provide the player with different possible strategies during the real-time combat. Content also includes an additional adventure with a new side story.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 comes out on December 1 for the Nintendo Switch and is now available for pre-order. The same day, the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Edition Nintendo Switch Pro Controller will launch at a suggested retail price of $74.99.

Nintendo essentially has an entire year dedicated to the continued experience that encompasses Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

Players can preorder all the DLC now by buying a $30 expansion pass.

Nintendo recently held a Nintendo Direct presentation that was focused entirely on the game, giving lots of new details on the game.
