Aston Martin Vanquish S Ultimate sees out the V12 GT

Aston Martin has revealed the Vanquish S Ultimate model to bid a farewell to the second-generation GT.

The Aston Martin Vanquish S Ultimate special edition is the last hurrah for the British brand's long-serving range-topper. Up front you'll find the same naturally-aspirated 6.0-litre V12 as in the regular Vanquish S, putting out the same 603hp.

The Vanquish S Ultimate, which will be limited to just 175 cars worldwide, will be available in three different "Designer Themes", that have been carefully crafted and curated by the Aston Martin design team.

Irrespective of the theme, there are extra details that are also unique to the Vanquish S Ultimate. All cars come with a unique "Ultimate" quilting design and headrest embroidery, Carbonfibre side strakes, carbonfibre treadplates and an Ultimate sill plaque. The exhaust tailpipes, brake callipers, window trims and five-spoked wheels are all black, and there's lots of carbon fibre on the bonnet louvres, grille and side strakes.

The Vanquish S Ultimate Coupe costs from £211,995, and the convertible Volante from £223,995, and is now available to order from Aston's United Kingdom dealers, with first cars due in early 2018. A combination of Xenon Grey paint and Cobalt Blue graphics complements the Ultimate's carbon fibre and black trim. The interior is similar to that of the first designer theme, but with Chestnut Tan as the main interior color and Obsidian Black making up the accents and stitching. On the inside a mix of Phantom Grey leather, Electron Yellow accents and Spectral Blue stitching dominate the luxury cabin. The third theme blends White Gold paint with Bronze graphics and gloss black trim, along with a Chestnut Tan leather with Obsidian Black accents. The orders are now being taken for the duo with first deliveries scheduled for Q1 2018. It is linked to an 8-speed Touchtronic III automatic transmission with 3-stage adaptive damping and carbon ceramic brakes as standard fitment.

In addition to the Designer Themes, customers can elect to combine any exterior scheme and interior package as a no-cost option.

"As the much-loved and highly-acclaimed Vanquish S nears the end of production, we wanted to celebrate its success with a limited run of very special cars", Aston Martin Vice President and Chief Sales Officer Christian Marti said in a statement.
