Astros manager says reports of altercation at LA hotel are 'nonsense'

But Hinch and his team were in Los Angeles - the gossip sheet's home base - for the first two games of the Fall Classic, and that's exactly what happened.

Even though the World Series switches to Houston Friday evening for Game 3, the Houston Astros manager is mired in controversy over an argument in an upscale Pasadena hotel bar that was so intense police were called to restore calm. To reiterate, there was no altercation and that's as far as I'm going to go. A story by TMZ.com claimed Hinch "snapped" at fans after they began "talking trash" about the Astros.

Hinch and a few Houston players were at Minute Maid Park on Thursday. According to a witness, the incident turned physical and the cops had to be called to intervene.

When pressed on the details of the TMZ report, Hinch replied, "Fabrications really suck".

TMZ spoke to the Pasadena Police Department, who said they responded at 10:30 PM to help hotel security "keep the peace".

No arrests were reportedly made after the incident as both sides chose to just walk away. According to ESPN, that report is not true.

"There was an argument between hotel guests and members of Astros management", the lieutenant said.
