George Clooney reveals Amal was sexually harassed

Matt Damon in an interview on Good Morning America confirmed Paltrow's statements about the alleged assault, saying that he knew about that particular incident. "And that fact that the story is coming out now and the more it comes out, I want to know all of it", Clooney added. "I've been reading these stories, because I am racking my brain, did I see something, did I know something, is there something I could have done?"

"This level of criminal sexual predation was not something I ever thought was going on".

"I knew the story about Gwyneth from Ben because he was with her after [her relationship with] Brad [Pitt]", the Oscar victor, 47, told GMA contributor Michael Strahan.

Since the article that was publshed in the New York Times about Weinstein, women all across the country have become more vocal about their encounters with sexual harrassment in the workplace. "I knew he was an a--". Instead, he said he heard about them from Ben Affleck, who dated Paltrow in the '90s. Ben told me...but I knew that...they had come to whatever, you know, agreement or understand that they had come to, she had handled it. "You only had to spend five minutes with Harvey Weinstein to know he was a bully; he was intimidating". I never saw anything in front of me.

"I didn't necessarily believe him, quite honestly, because to believe would be to believe the worst of some actresses who were friends of mine", the Ocean's Eleven stars said. "Could you survive a meeting with Harvey?"

"Listen, I'm scared to death, it's terrifying", he said of being a first-time dad, adding, "You're afraid of breaking them".

Matt Damon and George Clooney recall their experiences working with Harvey Weinstein and why their reaction the allegations brought against him.

Weinstein played an important role in Damon and Affleck's rise to success after distributing their breakout movie, Good Will Hunting - which won them Best Original Screenplay Oscar - via Miramax in 1998.

"I am saddened and angry that a man who I worked with used his position of power to intimidate, sexually harass and manipulate many women over decades". "And in doing that, I think that'll scare away that kind of behavior", Clooney said.

George Clooney says the sexual harassment epidemic stretches far beyond Hollywood - and even his wife Amal, a human rights attorney, has been affected. I think that's a little bit of a surprise to some of us.
