Marvel Teases New Look for Its Comic Book Thor Ahead of 'Ragnarok'

Directed by Taika Waititi from a script by Craig Kyle & Christopher Yost and Stephany Folsom and Eric Pearson, Thor: Ragnarok picks up after the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Thor: Ragnarok now has a 4.17 out of 5 User Anticipation Rating, making it the second most anticipated upcoming comic book movie among Users. I mean, it's incumbent upon us as storytellers who are making mass-appeal movies to make mass-appeal movies, and to diversify as much as possible.

The stand out performance for me was Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, when we first meet her she is a down on her luck, drunkard with a bad ass quality to her, there is a lot of pain in her backstory that comes out during the course of the film, none of which I am going to spoil here. "A goofy, kitschy-but-fun romp", says IGN's Jim Vejvoda.

Thor: Ragnarok has been pitched as a Thor and Hulk buddy movie set in space and that sounds absolutely delightful.

But after the hard truths have been dropped, Thor suggests they pull the classic "Get Help" ruse. Tom Hiddleston's Loki is awesome too and I am so glad that they gave Idris Elba's Heimdall more to do in this time around.

There's no new information about Ragnarok, which is out in theatres November 2nd, but that doesn't keep this from being a blast to watch.
