Trump's Anti-Iran Rhetoric Isolates US, Not Iran: Commander

If the European side repeats the same demands about Iran's presence in region or its missile program, the Islamic Republic will not accept that, he added.

Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has launched an attack on U.S. President Donald Trump for his attempts to row back on the 2015 nuclear deal between Tehran and the global community.

Iran claims it is developing nuclear weapons purely for defensive purposes.

"Or to ask why Iran has missiles - well, why do you have missiles?"

Senior officials in France, Britain and Germany have dismissed the U.S. president's approach to the JCPOA, saying they will continue to support the nuclear deal. "We welcome such stances, but it is not enough that they only ask the U.S. not to scrap the deal", Ayatollah Khamenei added, noting that the JCPOA is to their benefit.

"I don't want to waste time on answering the rants and whoppers of the brute USA president", Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said.

In a speech on state TV, he said Tehran would stick to the agreement, but only as long as the other six signatories - the US, UK, Russia, France, China, and Germany - respected the deal.

The Leader further asked Europe to stand against the U.S. practical actions and refrain from interfering in Iran's defensive issues.

"We see no reason to change anything in the guidelines that we have received from the (IMF) Board and continue to operate in the same manner", Lagarde said on Sunday, responding to a question on Trump's new policy on Iran who has strongly urged the IMF and World Bank not to provide loans or funds to Iran.

Also, International Monterey Fund (IMF) Managing Director Christine Lagarde said the IMF sees no reason to change its policy on granting loans to Iran despite United States pressures and bans. The US is the creator of ISIS and Takfiri movement.

"The US president is reflecting stupidity", Khamenei said, adding that the reason he is annoyed with Iran is because USA policies in Syria, Iraq and Lebanon have failed.

"The US president displays stupidity, but this should not cause us to ignore America´s mischief", he said.
