Ivana Trump, the first wife of US President Donald Trump has said that her daughter Ivanka can run for presidency, and that she and Trump speak regularly and have a good relationship, The Guardian reported. "She's a showgirl. Never [achieved] anything in her life", seethed Ivana to CBS News correspondent Jim Axelrod.

A new book from Donald Trump's first wife pulls back the curtain on a tumultuous period of the President's life, including the messy divorce that was splashed across New York's tabloids for weeks.

Ivana Trump's new book, "Raising Trump", is scheduled to be released next week. "Maybe in fifteen years", the 68 year old said of dreams for her daughter Ivanka to become "the first female - and Jewish - POTUS".

The former model writes in detail about how wonderful her marriage to Mr Trump was and how she enjoyed working in his corporation.

When asked Maples getting the blame in the new book, Ivana says, "Well, she was flirting". I love my husband.

The scandal spawned the iconic "Best Sex I've Ever Had" headline in the New York Post in 1990.

"I can only shake my head at how it insane it was", she reportedly writes.




Ivana was married to Trump from 1977 to 1992.

After divorcing Ivana Trump, the President married Marla Maples in 1993.

Despite the bitter split, Ivana claims she and Trump now share a close friendship and she is also on good terms with his current wife Melania. "And if you want to get your words across rightly, without telling The New York Times, which is going to twist every single word of yours, this is how you get your message out, '" she added to CBS.

She has mentioned glowingly about her marriage to President Donald Trump, she also mentioned her prominent role at the Trump Organization. "I couldn't turn on the television without hearing my name". "I went through hell, and then I was expected to be okay with her being around my children?"

But she and the president have returned to far warmer terms.

Ivana Trump also said she still talks to her ex-husband weekly and has encouraged him in his Twitter habits.

Over the years, Maples has attempted to issue public apologies to Trump, recently trying to make amends in an interview, of which Trump writes in her book, "They called to ask if I accepted the apology and I said, "Apology not accepted.' This woman broke up my marriage and took away my kids" father".
