Apple Has Removed The Built-In App Store In iTunes 12.7

While you were watching new iPhones get introduced at Apple's big reveal on Tuesday, the company quietly revamped its signature desktop app for buying music, movies and TV. It's a simple process and will barely take a few minutes. You should not need to restart your Mac, unless you also chose to click the Update All button, which installs any other OS updates available.

Don't worry, this doesn't mean that the App Store is going away, just that it will no longer live in iTunes.

If nothing will change in the manner of installing the new mobile OS, iPhone and iPad users can check their Settings app, proceed to the General menu, and then look for a notification on the Software Update tab.

Click on the Download button at the top.

When iTunes first launched over 15 years ago, it was just about music.

Apple's message to users who updated to iTunes 12.7. In the new version of iOS, only 64-bit apps will work. It also adds support for iOS 11 device syncing. After that, download a profile to your iOS device and restart it. As confirmed by the company previously, only iPhone 5s and later iPhone models will be receiving the update. iPad models eligible for the iOS 11 update include all the latest iPad Air and Pro models, iPad 5 Gen, and the iPad mini 2 and later. Games and Apps on the new iOS 11 App Store will be more informative with support for more video demos, app ratings/rankings and age rating. Apps for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch are now exclusively available in the new App Store for iOS.

iTunes's increasingly cluttered interface is partially a symptom of becoming the single app for storing your music library and syncing apps to your phone.
