Apple Unveils Watch With Cellular Capabilities

Apple has already included several appetizing features in previous Watch editions for health and fitness enthusiasts, making it one of the more attractive smartwatches on the market. It also confirmed when it's going to release watchOS 4 and what new features it's going to bring. The addition of Global Positioning System (GPS) and waterproof capabilities introduced with last year's Apple Watch Series 2 has the company on track to boost sales almost 25% this year. You will be able to order the new Watch Series 3 starting from September 15th, sales for which commence from September 22nd. How is Apple getting that 97 percent customer satisfaction out of their watch users?

Coming back to the Apple Watch Series 3, the biggest highlight of the new smartwatch is cellular connectivity which will now allow you to go for a run leaving your phone at home.

Williams boasted that the Watch Series 3 could play up to 40 million songs from Apple Music.

There are two versions of the Apple Watch Series 3, one with cellular for $399 and one without cellular for $329.

The new smartwatch is powered by a Dual-Core processor offering 70% more performance. In terms of design, the new watch is the same physical size as the Series 2. Samsung pioneered the feature and recently told CNET that half of the watches it sells in the United States have LTE modems.

A new Nike Running app will also come out for the new watch.

The new TV will be available on September 22 as well and will begin at $179 for its 32 gigabyte version. The processor also now lets Siri talk and packs a W2 wireless chip and an all-day battery life although Apple didn't specify exactly how long it will last on a single charge with LTE connectivity.

The event is expected to be jam-packed with Apple's newest products, with its 10th anniversary iPhone as the crown jewel. It has also slashed the price of the Series 1 to, which is now priced at $249, and it looks like the price of the Series 2 remains unchanged.

The company's Other Products unit, which includes the Watch, represented 6% of Apple's sales in its most recent quarter.
