Tottenham's Vincent Janssen Seals Loan Move To Fenerbahce

Tottenham's Vincent Janssen Seals Loan Move To Fenerbahce

Janssen was left out of Spurs' 25-man Champions League squad earlier this week but boss Mauricio Pochettino insisted on Thursday that the Netherlands global remains part of his plans.

The BBC had earlier reported that Fener were in talks with Diego Costa's representatives, but the move for Janssen would suggest any deal for the Chelsea striker is dead.

'Yes of course [he has a future],' said Pochettino.

The 23-year-old signed for Tottenham in July 2016 for a £17million fee from AZ Alkmaar, but he failed to establish himself as a key figure at White Hart Lane last term.

The deadline day signing of Fernando Llorente and the omission of the Dutchman from the club's Champions League squad ultimately led to a decision to look for first team opportunities elsewhere.

He was not named in the Lillywhites squad that is set to compete in the group stages of the Champions League. That is about numbers.

Despite the Argentine claiming he is part of his plans for the future, other reports last week suggested that Janssen was "finished" at Spurs.

At Fenerbache, Janssen will become team-mates with former Spurs flop Roberto Soldado, who joined the club this summer from Spanish outfit Villarreal.
