Rs 200 Notes in Bright Yellow Widens RBI's New Currency Denomination Spectrum

Rs 200 Notes in Bright Yellow Widens RBI's New Currency Denomination Spectrum

Today The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has issued a new currency of Rupees.

On the note of 200 rupees with Mahatma Gandhi (Innovative) series, the signature of Governor Bank Governor Urjit Patel will be signed and will be issued by RBI's elected offices and some banks.

There is nothing official and secret for the designs of these new Indian notes as they have already been viral on the social media. RBI on Thursday said maths behind introduction of the new note guarantee that getting change for large denomination notes will become much easier. The circulation of this new Rs 200/- is expected to be in hands at the beginning the month of September.

"Since the length of the new Rs 200 currency is different from the existing currency in circulation, cassette calibration is required to be done". The new notes will help in speeding up transactions, especially for the common man. To ease the cash crunch, Rs 2,000 and Rs 500 notes were introduced across the country.

The Rs 200 note, to be introduced in the market on Friday, is not just another legal tender, but a denomination with a goal. Recently, the RBI had introduced new fluorescent blue notes of Rs 50 bearing the motif of "Hampi with Chariot". He added that the government is not considering withdrawal of the Rs 2000 currency notes. The Rs 200 note that has been issued by the RBI has a bright yellow base color that is in the Mahatma Gandi series. "We still have not received these notes to understand the dimension for the configuration", said Radha Rama Dorai, managing director of ATM and allied services at FIS Global.

Post-demonetisation, there have been reports of people facing problems in using the Rs.2,000 note as sufficient quantum of smaller denomination notes of Rs.100 and Rs.500 were not available.
