WhatsApp reaches 1 billion daily active users, 250M WhatsApp Status users

The monthly active users base has been bumped up to 1.3 billion, and nearly 55 billion messages are shared every day in 60 supported languages. At that time the messaging service had 450 million monthly users and, daily monthly users were at 350 million.

WhatsApp, the widely popular messaging app across the world, has achieved another super duper milestone. In its official blog made an announcement that it reached a user base of 1 billion daily users and a massive 1.3 billion monthly users of the app.

WhatsApp has announced that it has over 1 billion daily active users on the app, out of a total of 1.3 billion monthly active users. I think it'll be hard to do that without getting major backlash from the users as WhatsApp has built a brand around not putting ads in the app. All these users are actively exchanging about 55 billion messages per day, which is yet another huge number.

Facebook also said that there are 2 billion active users every month, and over 2 billion messages are being sent by users via Facebook Messenger application. On top of all this, another interesting stat which the company announced is that the service now supports 60 languages as well. In contrast, Snapchat only has 166 million users, which doesn't come anywhere close to either Facebook or WhatsApp or Instagram's numbers.

Facebook recently updated the file sharing feature, letting users share a file of any format. The Facebook Messenger alone surpassed 1.2 billion monthly users. Having said that, let us know if you are using this messaging service and if not, then which is your go to messaging service?
