MS Paint is NOT DEAD

Microsoft has confirmed it's not killing the 32-year old Paint app after all.

Soon, MS Paint will be replaced by the new Paint 3D application which is going to be integrated with the future version of Windows OS. She says that the outpouring of support for MS Paint caught the company's attention and that it needs to clarify some things. "After 32 years, MS Paint has a lot of fans. It's been unbelievable to see so much love for our trusty old app".

Microsoft signaled an about-face in a blog post Monday night by Megan Saunders, a general manager within the Windows Experiences group.

Of the many features that Microsoft Windows software has introduced to the human race, Paint holds a special place in most people's hearts - its simple-yet-captivating interface has brought to life the imagination of many aam artists around the globe.

Paint was earmarked to be "deprecated" in an upcoming update for Windows 10, meaning it would no longer be actively developed as a part of the operating system.

The company recently announced that Microsoft Paint is on a list of features that are set to be "removed and deprecated" in the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, set to be released this fall.

"MS Paint fans rejoice".

The company said the software will be available in the Windows Store platform for free. It is in fact going to be available for free on the Windows Store.

However, it appears that the app will not come pre-installed in Windows 10 Creators Update versions. Whether, like Clippy, Windows users will celebrate or decry Paint's removal, it will be a moment in the history of Windows as one of its longest-standing apps is put out to pasture.

"MS Paint is here to stay". Microsoft also took the opportunity to promote Paint 3D, its entirely rewritten approach to Paint. The program isn't a continuation of the original program, however, so while the 3D option may pay homage to the original, Paint as most users know it appears to be getting the ax sometime in the future.
