Nokia 6 starts receiving Android July Security update

The Nokia 3 and 5 are Nokia's lower-end offerings - The 3 has a 5-inch display and a quad-core chip while the Nokia 5 has a larger 5.2-inch display with an octa-core processor.

Setting itself free from Microsoft's web was the best thing that could have happened to Nokia, and the former Finnish smartphone giant is attempting to make a comeback in the Android and feature handset market space with the release of affordable devices.

If you want the Nokia 5 you'll have to wait until August 2, when it will be launching for £179.99.

HMD Global has confirmed the launch date of their Nokia 6 smartphone in the U.S., the handset will launch on the 10th of July 2017. The reason behind this price drop is because the Nokia 6 USA version comes with a lower amount of RAM and internal memory as compared to the global versions. The rear camera is 16-meagpixels.

The phones will be available in Australia, although specific prices aren't yet known. As such, we felt that these were a (somewhat understandably) safe collection of handsets, despite our excitement to see Nokia phones back on the market. It's going to run most apps without too much trouble so we expect this won't be an issue for most anyone planning to use it for social media and casual games, but don't expect to be able to play any power-hungry games or apps without running into some lag. For the unaware, the Nokia 6 was announced with four color options: matte black, silver, blue and copper. The rear camera offers an LED flash, though, and both have autofocus. Fans of stock Android will certainly love the Nokia 3's approach to software.
